As the subject suggests, the Windows update service is active in Services.msc but when selecting it in the start menu, the expected box doesn't appear. I've tried a couple of MS repair utilities where one verifies the PC can connect to the online service but the problem still persists.
I have Windows 7 64-bit.

Hi there,
After a clean Windows install and numerous updates, the update KB3058515 stops @ 11% download
and error code 80092004 appears. I have tried several times, with the same result.
Also booted Windows several times and searched for new updates as well.

3 GB lost after latest Windows update.
I had 11/12 GB free, then yesterday Windows downloaded a little more than 1GB of updates, and now I have 8 GB free.
Any chance to recover some space? CCLeaner says I can just delete files for 800mb.

Update not following instructions to update at 3 AM
I have Windows Update set to install updates automatically every day at 3 AM. Yet, it keeps interrupting me during the day with a window that says it will perform the update within a few minutes unless I postpone it. Refresh GWX Icon in the taskbar

My laptop is running Windows 7 SP1 and I have the windows 10 reserved using GWX icon. However, as shown in the attached screenshot, I had a notification saying I have to uninstall Daemon Tools during the upgrade. I have uninstalled it, but its still showing in the GWX. activating/deactivating windows.
I cant currently activate my retail copy of windows 7 on my pc. I think it is because I have another harddrive I use to use as a laptop HD which I currently use in my desktop, that has the key activated on it. Would I have to deactivate my windows 7 key on my other hard drive in order to be able to activate it on my main hard drive

Cannot repair member file utc.app.json and other json files
So I just thought of doing a SFC scan now to check if my system is good with no corrupt files or not.
Now it seems there are no issues, even Microsoft has said the win update that caused the files to go corrupt is a false alarm in SFC check.
The issue I have: (I've tried removing the update and then re-doing the SFC can now but no result.)

Another non genuine copy of Windows that is in fact genuine problem

Ran windows update again and, after rebooting and trying again, 16 updates failed Code 80070663. All office 2013 updates.
(I also have Office 2010 installed - Excel only and that gives no problems)
The failures are all office 2013 updates

Latest Microsoft updates on windows 7 stops Internet Explorer
The Microsoft update around the 10th June 2015 stops my Internet Explorer working. So I do a restore and it works and it does it again next time I turn my computer on. Then I disabled automatic updates and it STILL stops Internet Explorer working. So EVERY time I start my computer I have to restore it back to before the original update. :o I think Apple is looking pretty good
