This probably doesn't apply to many users but I run Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and Office 2000.
I applied all the updates released today and Office was rendered inoperative (Not Responding). After reverting to the restore point I installed the updates one by one and found that the offending update was *Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool (x64) (KB890830)*.
