AMD Ryzen CPU. No Longer Able To Update Windows
After I installed a AMD Ryzen CPU in my computer (still using the Windows 7 installation from previous CPU build). Windows updated fine until one day it said my hardware wasn't compatible and no longer checks for updates or installs them.

win 7 sp1
I have gone back to win 7/64 and I was trying to install sp1, however the system wont allow it; the update service is not running; I checked it in services and it is set to auto and the display shows that it is running; not seen this problem before.
I did have win 10 installed, however, it mucked so many of my audio software programs; after a few, I got fed up with it.

Update 180410 borked admin account
Prologue: SURT link white-paged, no download. And right-click menu send-to on this machine does not have 'to zip...'. I don't have a recent disk back-up.
This update, consisting of KB2952664, and KB4093118 reverted both my 7 machines back to the default 7 settings for desktop and IE11, the next morning on third and second boot, respectively.

2012 Wireless Router Update suddenly showed up - do I need it?
After successfully installing all "Important" Windows updates for March and April, I got a message today that new Updates were awaiting download.
To my surprise, the "new" (Optional) update was listed as "Microsoft - Other hardware - Microsoft Wireless Router Module Update (Published 12/27/2012)" - with no KB number.
I have no idea why this Update suddenly showed up as a recommended...

Update on April 10 reset to default settings
The SURT link white-paged, no download. The CBS.zip is 60 megs. Not even Google Drive will take it.

Solved April 10, 2018KB4093118 (Monthly Rollup) Keeps On Popping Up
April 10, 2018—KB4093118 (Monthly Rollup) has been installed now 6 times and still I am being offered the same update over & over again, what is going on?
This has happened before if I recall correctly and I can't remember what the fix was, was it another update ?
I'll run the troubleshooter to see if it fixes anything. No it didn't fix it.

I have left updates too long now I am all mixed up
I have not updated since May last year because I like to do some homework on the updates before I install but have been so busy working on the computer that I have just left it.
I checked for updates and it auto installed a few for office 2010 and also KB4055532 but no others because I have it set to check and ask first and also have unchecked the "give me recommend the same as important....

Unable to update windows 7
When I ask for Windows update to check for updates, I get a popup that says Windows Update cannot currently check for updates, because the service is not running. You may need to restart your computer.

2 computers with Outlook 2010 but different updates
I have KB4011711 patch for outlook 2010 on one computer but it is not appearing in the list on the other computer either already installed or available to install so I went on to Microsoft download centre and downloaded it but it would not install because a pop up window said

Solved KB4093118 Security Rollup keeps installing
I let Windows update on my Dell laptop running Win7 x86, and the "KB4093118 2018-04 Security Monthly Quality Rollup for Windows & x86 based systems" keeps showing as needing to be installed. I dont use this computer much so I expected there would a handful of updates waiting.
