I have an iMac from late 2009 or so that I have Windows 7 Professional SP1 running on. It's a fresh install from the DVD I have and genuine. However, Windows Update will not update. Solved Beware KB3101746 Crashed my Laptop & my Desktop PC
Just a FYI,
Tried to install security patch *KB3101746*.
Installed successfully on my Laptop, however, on reboot, desktop was just my blue background. :mad:
Tried 16 restore points, all failed with 2 different error codes. :mad:

need script to automatically hide updates via the DataStore.edb file
Let's say I have several different updates I know I don't want. For example:

After a fresh install of Windows 7, there are a few hundred updates to be installed. I don't want to have to manually compare each update to my list of unwanted updates...

Can't find this Update anywhere on my system
Hi. I keep a list of Updates that I uninstalled because they prevented a portable program from working. I no longer use that program so have been reinstalling those updates. I've encountered something odd, though - KB3088195 wasn't in my list of hidden updates although I would (should) have hidden it after uninstalling it.

Solved Cannot compress CBS.zip folder to 8.00mb
Hallo,
My CBS folder is 21mb, when I try to .rar or .zip it I can only get it down to 12mb.
Any suggestions on how to get it smaller - the max allowed is 8mb.

SOLVED: I just removed the CBS.log file (today's file), and compressed that. Hope it helps.

I have downloaded the System Update Readiness Tool, which did not help solve the problem, and the SFC Scan, which said "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files, but was unable to fix some of them. Details are included in the CBS.log"
