This is a "cry wolf" situation that isn't causing me any problem except when it did. Running Windows 7 64-bit. Hi, Whenever I try to run windows update it seems to fail, the error code i get is 800736B3. I have followed the instructions and ran the hotfix and sfc scan however the problem still persists. I have attached the files that i can, however when compressing the CBS folder it totals to 196MB so its impossible to upload here. Any help would be much appreciated!

So I got the prompt that the download for Windows 10 has started. When I click the "View download progress" button in the "Get Windows 10" window, it brings me to the ""Windows Update window where it starts checking for new updates but it always fails with error code: 80244019 Any ideas why?

I run windows update on a regular basis and have not had any problems with other recent updates, but KB3021674 will not install. Instead, I get error code 80073712. I have run SFC /scannow as suggested elsewhere and it did not find any errors. I have also run CHKDSK as suggested elsewhere and it did not find any errors. I tried to run SURT but it is for x64 based systems and not applicable...

I have Windows updates set to update automatically but in the task bar the Solve PC issue icon tells me I have one issue. It states that I should change Windows update settings. They are on automatic updating yet I keep getting this message to change the settings. Switching off my Avast virus software makes no difference.

I'm simply attempting to run update on my Windows 7 machine. Update will not run, downloading and running the SP1 update fails, downloading and running the Update Readiness Tool fails, trying to launch a troubleshooter fails.
