I got this just a few hours ago. I'm using a Packard Bell EasyNote TJ65 since Xmas 2010, and it was sent for repairs in May of this year, which evidently resulted in my hard drive being wiped.

I just did a system restore on my Asus netbook since it was going crazy. So, I tried installing the Windows 7 Home Premium that I bought when I got the computer but it isn't working. Any suggestions?

Trying to activate New Install
I recently had to do a new install on a new hard drive. I used my OEM disc to do the install. However, when it came time to activate the installation. I could not activate. Here is the information about the install. I home someone can help me. I cannot find the first two sections of the Product ID. I have attached the other information about my system.

Solved Constantly trying to install updates at every shutdown
Just did a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate after procrastinating for years on my old Pentium 4 computer with XP. Of course there were alot of updates and I allowed all the critical ones to install, at least I thought they did. I then checked update to download but ask to install any new ones.
Almost every day when I shut the computer off, it warns me not to unplug it, it is installing...

Solved Will Certain Updates open me up to Exploits?
I am just wondering... You can call me a noob if you want =)
My way of thinking is that the least amount of software that you do not use is installed.... that more protected it will be. For instance... I do not use Silverlight whatsoever. Nor do i use Microsoft Security Essentials.
Are there any windows updates that will not effect everyday use such as browsing, movies, music and gaming?

Solved Unable to update Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit Service Pack 1
I am not talking about updating *to* Service Pack 1.

Win7 SP1 Update not installing - mismatched Mail file. 0x80004005
After days of chasing this, I'm, baffled and would appreciate assistance.

Created boot partition manually, Service Pack update error 0x800F0A12
I reinstalled Windows recently, but it used the same boot partition from my old installation. I got rid of the old partition (it was on the wrong hard drive) and created a new one with the repair disc. Windows boots, but won't install updates. Bcdedit outputs
*The boot configuration data store could not be opened. The system cannot find the file specified*
I think it can't find the boot...
